1999, Three Paintings on handmade paper These three paintings were done in honor of my friend and mentor, writer and psychoanalyst Jacques Hassoun, who died in Paris on April 24,1999 . Painted with pigment and pastel on handmade paper, they incorporate the initial of his Hebrew name and fragments of xeroxed landscapes from his native country and mine, Egypt.
